Additional Information:

Computer animation is used increasingly as a special effects technique in film and video production. Integrated with other imaging techniques such as motion control, stand animation, live action and optical printing, it can be a useful tool as well as a final element. Among other things, information can be shared with other computer controlled cameras, or images can be generated for rotoscoping or for mattes. In fact, the final special effect may be largely dependent on computer imagery yet not contain a single computer- generated pixel.
The panelists discuss their specific approaches and experiences in utilizing computer graphics with other techniques in the production of special effects.
