Bio:

  • Sujin Kim is an experimental filmmaker and an assistant professor of Animation at Arizona State University. She earned her MFA in Experimental Animation from the California Institute of the Arts with a focus on CGI. Kim’s MFA thesis received the Gold Medal at the 48th Student Academy Awards in Animation. Her work revolves around challenging traditional film language through alternative storytelling and leveraging unique cinematic expressions unattainable in live-action films. Kim’s experimental films have been showcased at over 50 film festivals, including the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, and have been featured at international conferences, including ISEA and SIGGRAPH Asia.
