Bio:
Shanmuganathan Raman, Jibaben Patel Chair in AI, is an Associate Professor in EE and CSE at IIT Gandhinagar. He obtained his BE degree from PSG Tech. He obtained his MTech and PhD degrees from IIT Bombay. His research interests are Computer Vision and Computer Graphics. He obtained a Microsoft Research PhD Fellowship in 2007, an Excellence in PhD Thesis Work Award at IIT Bombay in 2012, an Excellence in Research Work Award from IIT Gandhinagar in 2022, and a Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship in 2023. Shanmuganathan is the Chairman of JEE at IIT Gandhinagar and an Independent Director of MGVCL, Vadodara.
