Bio

15 years of experience in computer graphics across multiple disciplines and tool packages. 12 years of leadership experience lighting Academy Award winning films. Senior Lead Technical Director responsible for creating some of Pixar’s most visually and technically complex sequences. Integral contributor to both visual and tools development at Pixar. Experience in writing custom shading templates and brdfs, as well designing/authoring lighting tools for artists. Four-time Lead Lighting Technical Director, responsible for establishing the lighting foundation for each film. Able to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, as well as invent efficient workflows. Unique ability to excel in both artistic and technical fields, proving to be a keystone in the technical department at Pixar. Team leader, mentor within the department, and liaison across departments and between tools and artists.
