SIGGRAPH 2025
Maya Vyas is a Principal Visual Effects Designer at Walt Disney Imagineering. She is a VES nominee for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Special Venue Project and is excited about pushing the technical and creative boundaries of previsualization. She has worked in the themed entertainment industry for over 7 years and brought multiple immersive experiences to life including Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. Additionally, Peter Pan’s Neverland Adventure holds a particularly special place in her heart as it was her first Imagineering project that she helped grow from concept to completion. She loves the ability to wear multiple hats from previs artist to ride animator to installation supervisor. Maya is an alumni of New York University (BS) and Savannah College of Art and Design (MFA), and a proud east coast transplant. When she’s not sprinkling pixie dust, she is a passionate woodworker and furniture builder.
