Masanori Yamada is Professor and Director of Digital Society Research in Data-Driven Innovation Initiative, Graduate School of Human-Environment Studies, Director of R&D section in Learning Analytics Center at Kyushu University. His current research focuses on learning analytics based on psychology and pedagogy for education. He received M.A. and Ph.D in Educational Technology from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2005 and 2008 respectively. He is also a recipient of the research-related awards from Information Processing Society of Japan, IEEE ICALT, CELDA, Learning Analytics and Knowledge and so on.
