Bio:
- Laurids Sonne is a Danish documentary media artist, researcher, curator, and organizer,
who works with representational media Including moving and still images, installation
work, and writing.
Laurids work looks at observational, and extractive practices and their technologies and
entanglement with systems of knowledge, through the history and philosophy of science
– engrained in the Western capitalist worldview that dominates our planet- and its future.
From 2004 to 2014, Laurids was a member of the four-person international art collective
Parfyme, working with relational and social based processes; developing new platforms
for community, interaction and exploration.
Since 2020, Laurids has collaborated with Nima Bahrehmand on collectively curating
and organizing cultural events under the moniker S3026. In addition to their curatorial
practice, S3026 also collaborates on moving images and installation work. Presently,
they are working on future iterations of their stratigraphic work-in-progress? object
earth, in collaboration with the philosopher Michael Marder.
