Khoo Eng Tat is Assistant Dean (Research and Technology) at the College of Design and Engineering and Associate Professor at the Engineering Design and Innovation Centre, National University of Singapore. He is the founding Principal Investigator of the NUS Immersive Reality Lab and Principal Investigator of the SIA-NUS Digital Aviation Corp Lab. His research and teaching focus on product development and entrepreneurship, virtual and mixed reality (VR/MR), conversational AI, and human–computer interaction (HCI). His translational research integrates engineering and design to advance simulation-based training and experiential learning, producing innovations with impact across professional and educational domains.

Dr Khoo Eng Tat is an educator and researcher in HCI, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and game design. He is currently a senior lecturer at NUS EDIC. He was previously an adjunct assistant professor with the same department, and associate faculty of Singapore University of Social Sciences. Eng Tat previously held CTO/technical directorship in leading VR companies. He is also a board director of AsiaVR Association, one of the biggest VR/AR community in the region.
