Antony is a PhD candidate at the Biomimetics Laboratory within the Auckland Bioengineering Institute, where he specializes in lightweight haptic feedback for hand-based XR interactions. Antony holds a Bachelor’s degree with honours and a Master’s degree from the University of Auckland. His research focuses on enhancing immersion and usability in virtual environments through advanced haptic motion-capturing gloves. His work bridges the gap between physical sensations and digital experiences, making virtual interactions more intuitive and realistic. Antony’s projects explore the intersection of haptic hardware, haptic rendering, and multimodal interactions, contributing to the development of more immersive and responsive XR technologies.
