Adam Wright is a PhD Candidate at the University of California at Davis who designs and builds alternative controllers (AltCtrl) and interfaces with extended reality (VR, AR, MR), haptic, and artificial intelligence technologies. Through this work, Wright seeks to evaluate and challenge established notions of embodiment and human perceptual sense-making occuring in the interface between the body and perceptual technologies. His PhD research utilizes user interface design, experimental engineering, computer science, media theory, and disability theory. He teaches a reoccuring VR course at University of California, Davis in the Cinema and Digital Media dept.
