Abstract:

Curves Harvesting explores dynamic morphogenesis through thermodynamic sculpting of 3D-printed structures. This installation utilizes polylactic acid’s thermal properties to transform planar modules into complex curved surfaces. By controlling water temperature and tension, it balances deterministic design with environmental unpredictability. A comprehensive design library examines the influence of various parameters on resulting morphologies. The project challenges static sculpture concepts, offering insights into adaptive architecture and sustainable design. It contributes to the dialogue on technology, art, and nature in contemporary practice, providing a new framework for understanding form generation and environmental adaptability.
