Get caught up in the Vortechs! The Vortechs is a fantastic space designed to foster a whirlwind of networking, gaming, demonstration, presentation, and discussion opportunities in true SIGGRAPH style. Do you have a question about what to see, how to make the best use of your time at the conference, or what sessions best fit your professional interests? Ask the veteran SIGGRAPH-conference attendees at Pathfinders for navigation tips. Pathfinders is here to help you maximize your conference experience. Perhaps you want to know what sessions you can attend at your level of conference registration, or which sessions will support your career interests. At the Pathfinders booth, all questions are welcome. We know the answers, or we know where to find them. Pathfinders Chair Mary Nichols Middle Tennessee State University At one end of the Vortechs, get involved in a collaborative project with the ultimate pixel and at the other end those inspired by sun and sand can collaborate and compete with colleagues on the volleyball court. On the way, check out some sculpture. Or is it performance art? Need to show a tape or DVD to someone? Need to finish a conversation from a course or sketch? Stop by the Vortechs discussion area and chat for a while. Check out the l-Tube, an Emerging Technologies exhibit that’s too big for Emerging Technologies! Those with more competitive needs can take on others in favorite games networked together in the high-speed gaming lounge. Bring your games loaded and be prepared to challenge and be challenged. Check the board for scheduled games, or schedule your own. Have a snack, or just sit and catch up with old friends. There’s always something happening in the Vortechs
