    Using the SDL GPU Graphics API in Education

Presenter(s):

Description:

    SDL is a popular open-source library used in games and other interactive software. Its latest version includes a new GPU API that provides a cross-platform modern graphics interface with less of a learning curve than Vulkan. This makes SDL GPU a perfect candidate for teaching students a modern approach to interactive graphics. Join SDL GPU project lead Evan Hemsley alongside professors Sanjay Madhav (USC), Mike Shah (Yale), and Matt Whiting (USC), as they discuss the design of SDL GPU and present first steps towards integrating the library into interactive graphics curriculum.
