Description:
While Moon landing missions continue to fascinate the public, younger generations may be less familiar with the Apollo program, which took place over 50 years ago. Traditional video and reading materials may feel less engaging, as they are not integrated into modern digital platforms that appeal to today’s audiences. We present “Lunar Roving Adventure”, a virtual reality game that represents the historical Apollo lunar exploration missions performed by NASA astronauts during the late 1960s and early 1970s. This game’s design concepts, interactions, and game arts are relevant to historic events and factual activities. We aimed to resonate with our desire for exploration by providing a historical and educational game experience.
