    SIGGRAPH 1988

XTAR introduces the Falcon-PC graphics system for real-time PC AT based applications. Displays 30,000 flat shaded polygons/sec, fills polygons at 160 million pixels/sec, 256 colors and 1024X 1024 resolution.

    SIGGRAPH 1987

XTAR will display its line of real-time visualization systems and two new products: the PG1000AT High Speed Graphics Board, designed specifically for the -AT bus and 3DView2l, an interactive realtime visualization system.

    SIGGRAPH 1986

XTAR will demonstrate its interactive real-time simulation/animation system based on its high speed graphics board for the IBM PC XT and AT and custom GMP and VSR chips.

    SIGGRAPH 1985

XTAR will be announcing its “POLYGONE” two-board set based on its proprietary custom VLSI Graphics MicroProcessor and Video Shift Register chip sets. T he board is designed to occupy one slot of an IBM PC, PC/XT of PC/AT. Also shown will be an evaluation module based on the chips.

    SIGGRAPH 1984

Xtar will exhibit its new GMP Graphics Micro-processor chip set. The GMP is specifically designed to draw and fill in polygons at a rate sufficient to support real-time graphics applications. The chip set will support various screen resolution and pixel depths. Polygon fill rates in excess of 160 million pixel/second (at 1024 x 1024 resolution) are possible. The chip set communicates via a display list to any 16 or 32 bit microprocessor The GMP includes a programmable 2D clipper and display list RAM refresh circuit.
