The multi-CPU system is reborn. Breaking away from the rack-mount system, the PIE system offers an appealing and inexpensive solution to multi-CPU containment. The combination between software and hardware offers a dynamic operating system switch- ing method, which provides a completely customiz-able solution to any working environment. The PIE represents the first system to successfully integrate multi-CPU and the small office.
