    SIGGRAPH 1987

    ColorGraphics Systems will feature the new ArtStar 3D Plus, a combination 8-, 24- and 32-bit graphics paint and animation system. Based on the Motorola 68020 processor, the ArtStar 3D provides fast 3-D rendering, object creation, and real-time animation previewing. Other enhancements such as 3-D text capabilities, will be demonstrated.

    Color Graphics Systems, Inc. will be exhibiting its ARTSTAR 3-D that features full 3-D graphics and digital “Paint” in one 24 bit-per-pixel system. Also on exhibit will be the 3-D Animation Automation that features VTR machine control for fully automatic animation control. The company makes available new vector type character generation that features more than 500 vector fonts and hard copy output at 4,000 lines horizontally. 3-D modeling includes: fully antialiased rendering, multiple light sources, synthetic camera moves, spline curve motions, extensive choreography controls, texture mapping, smooth shading, full color realtime frame grabs in NTSC or RGB rotoscope ultra high resolution.
