    Susurros

Description:

The main challenge of Susurros was to create a hybrid 2D/3D graphic style, blending full matte painting/camera mapping sequences with 3D environments. In compositing, we explored ways to flatten the 3D render to echo a more illustrative look. A key focus was to separate past and present through color palettes and patterns, while maintaining unity in textures and character design. We also developed two distinct approaches to staging between the two time periods, ensuring both narrative clarity and visual coherence to match the weight of the subject.
On Susurros, we used Maya, Unreal Engine, Nuke, Substance, ZBrush, Houdini, and Photoshop.
