Reconstruction and Visualization of a Human Embryo Heart

Company / Institution / Agency:

Description:

Shows techniques for reconstructing and visualizing volumetric biomedical data obtained from serial sections. A heart of a five to six-week old embryo is reconstructed, using a digital blink comparator for section registration, and snakes, or interactive deformable contours, for segmentation.
