Description:
This visual-effects short was completed in six months time, as a school project.The goal was to achieve organic-looking animation on a robotic drone and real-istically integrate it into photographed still plates. The key to success was a robust initial character design, which demanded carefully planned proportions in order to create the complex folding animation later on. All 3D elements were created in Maya, including the FX and the rendering.
