Description:

Autocosm: Gardens of Thuban is a live performance which brings interactive computer graphics techniques into the realm of theatrical and musical performance. This work incorporates elements of ani-mation, theater, dance, painting, sculpture, music, and interactive art. The creative process for this piece is to shift continually between painting, programming, animating, composing music, designing interfaces, and performing. Gardens of Thuban is a structured improvisation: I start with an empty field and draw in real time before the audience. Stroke by stroke, I create an alien landscape populated with organic plants, trees, stones, and flowers.
