Producer Shabrayia Cleaver most recently completed production on the animated short-film, “Wednesdays with Gramps,” for writer/directors Chris and Justin Copeland. On the recently released DreamWorks feature, “Dog Man,” with writer/director Peter Hastings, she served as the Associate Producer. She is currently in development on 2 feature films at DreamWorks. Cleaver joined DreamWorks in 2013 on the production team for the Academy Award nominated and Golden Globe winning film “How to Train Your Dragon.” In various roles, her credits include “The Boss Baby,” “Trolls,” “Kung Panda 3,” “Abominable,” and “Spirit Untamed.” As a young Black Woman in the industry, she is passionate about helping create content that pushes boundaries and amplifies diverse voices. In 2021, she was named by Animation Magazine as one of the year’s “Rising Stars of Animation.” A native of Los Angeles, her ultimate mission is to create more opportunities and representation in the animation industry.
