Bio

2025

Lisa-Marie is a 3D technical artist based in Aotearoa New Zealand with a passion for storytelling through digital craft. Her creative practice focuses on the intersection of modeling, shading, and lighting—particularly how lighting can be used as a narrative tool to evoke emotion and atmosphere. She is also deeply interested in procedural workflows for environment and character design, exploring how technical structure can support and enhance artistic vision. Before entering the animation industry, Lisa-Marie worked in the veterinary field—a background that reflects her care, precision, and strong observational instincts. These qualities now inform her animation practice, especially in the sensitivity she brings to visual storytelling. Outside the CG space, she continues to explore illustration through watercolour and ink, and finds inspiration by hiking through the natural landscapes of Wellington and the Wairarapa. Whether working digitally or by hand, Lisa-Marie brings a calm, detail-driven approach to every project she contributes to.
