Beibei Xiong: MSc (ECE, University of British Columbia 2020-); BASc (EE & CE, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, 2016-2020): Beibei did two-year undergrad research with Harvard Medical School on bioinformatics, using machine learning and statistical methods to identify molecules that can predict disease at early stage. She did one-year project for TD Ameritrade to develop an virtual assistant using NLP to retrieve up-to-date data to help making business decisions. Now she is working on deep learning and computer vision, doing a project on 3D teleconferencing at UBC’s HCI lab.
