Bio

SIGGRAPH Asia 2025

Xiaoan (Sean) Liu is a graduate student at New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP), where he specializes in augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI) with a focus on context-aware computing and adaptive user interfaces. His research explores how AI and humans perceive and coexist in ambient computing environments, leveraging technologies like multimodal models, sensors, and eye tracking. With a Bachelor of Engineering in Interaction Design and Engineering from Jiangnan University, Sean has contributed to AI-driven projects at Tsinghua University, developing agents for autonomous driving simulations. His work in XR interaction design, as seen in projects like “Fusion Reality,” is driven by a deep interest in human-AI collaboration and the evolution of interface design.
