Alwin Chuan is a senior clinician in the Department of Anaesthesia, Liverpool Hospital, Sydney. He is the research leader for the American Society of Regional Anaesthesia. Alwin serves on two committees in the Australian Society of Anaesthetists, namely scientific committee of the National Scientific Congress (scientific convenor 2019) and the Awards, Research Grants and Prizes committee. Alwin has been involved with postgraduate and undergraduate education for over 10 years. This includes supervising research students, publishing chapters in anaesthesia textbooks, writing modules for the postgraduate diploma in clinical ultrasound and winning 2nd place for a novel iPhone application for anaesthesia education.
