Description:

Panop Koonwat’s Cupidiculous (2014) is a motion graphic project fusing 2D cel-animation and 3D techniques to convey a humorous story about how Cupid makes Adam and Eve fall in love. But this act of love leads to overpopulation, overconsumption and global warming, which Cupid needs to fix. Visually, the characters are 3D but rendered in 2D flat vectors enhanced by splashy pastel colors. Even though laughter is the main objective, Cupidiculous covertly delivers a critical message without sacrificing the viewer’s enjoyment.
