With over 15 years of visual effects experience working in feature films, Daniel Bigaj is a Compositing Supervisor at Image Engine, where he leads teams across high-profile productions through a blend of creative insight and technical expertise. Daniel played a key role in Image Engine projects, including Dune: Prophecy, Kraven the Hunter, Alien: Romulus, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Foundation season 2, and Snowpiercer season 3. He previously served as lead and senior compositor on The Old Guard, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Pokémon Detective Pikachu, The Mandalorian season 1, and Game of Thrones season 8. Daniel’s first role at Image Engine was as a BG Prep Artist on projects such as Chappie, Jurassic World, Straight Outta Compton, and Game of Thrones season 5. He later deepened his technical expertise at DNEG, working on Alice Through the Looking Glass, Star Trek Beyond, and Wonder Woman, and also spent time at OATS Studio and Umedia, contributing to projects like OATS Studio Volume I, The Meg, Skyscraper, and Night Hunter. Originally from Australia, Daniel holds a Bachelor of Design Studies (Architecture) and a Master of Design in Digital Media from the University of Adelaide. He began his visual effects career at Rising Sun Pictures, quickly advancing from rotoscope and paint to compositing on The Great Gatsby, The Wolverine, Seventh Son, and I, Frankenstein. Known for his ability to bridge creative intent with technical execution, Daniel collaborates closely with clients and departments to deliver work that meets Image Engine’s high standards of VFX.
