Darin Hollings (VFX Supervisor) first joined Walt Disney Studios in 1994. He started his career in film colorization at American Film Technologies and was an effects supervisor for several titles with Dream Quest Images, including “Armageddon,” “Con Air,” “The Rock,” and more. Hollings eventually made his way to Walt Disney Animation Studios where he was an effects animator and digital effects supervisor. His unique skills led him to become visual effects supervisor for the Creative Legacy team. Hollings leads teams of artists and engineers at Disney Animation to collaborate with teams like Walt Disney Imagineering on projects involving the worlds and characters of Disney animated films. His recent work includes attractions like Shanghai Disney Resort’s “Zootopia: Hot Pursuit” and Tokyo DisneySea’s “Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure” to crossovers like the Donald Duck’s appearance on “Hot Ones.” Hollings was raised in San Diego, California, and studied art at San Diego State University. He has worked at Disney for more than 26 years.
