Boyan is a graphic designer, artist, and independent researcher. He works across brand design, calligraphy, and spatial aesthetics. His research spans Chinese, Japanese, and Arabic calligraphy, with a focus on the structural theories and modeling workflows that transform calligraphy from two-dimensional forms into spatial expressions. He explores the artistic and aesthetic possibilities of calligraphy in space, and has successfully converted multiple ancient Chinese calligraphy manuscripts into 3D models. His work contributed to Thickness of Calligraphy Presented, which received the Best Immersive Art Experience award at the Raindance Film Festival in London.
