Artist Statement:

    Simultaneity of time and space
    – The moment we percept is organized by each different sequences of our experience as well as thought.
    – The very moment is synthesis of each different sequences that we percept.
    – That moment, the time of perception is each dif – ferent sequences of time and space.
    – Time and Space are tied up as Simultaneity at every moment we percept.
We have magical ability that synthesizes two different layers being in our mind. Absolute and subjective concept on time and space, the two extremes goes together for the moment of building new perception. Jean Guyau says about this as “an active step toward future (Creative Evolution. 1944).” With the concept of ‘simultaneity of time and space’ as a core source of perception, this work focuses on visualizing the stream of our consciousness which constantly shows new interpretation on the same contents. From the layer of exact remembrance to the layer of reconstruction, this work verifies what Guyau says as well as how Simultaneity of time and space could be seen. In the end, I want to share the moment of every person’s different perception that builds this present time more tightly.
