Artist Statement:

DUK-EUM (2003) / Thousands of light particles are falling down. They are splashed when they meet the shape of audiences. This is a quiet light-fall but audiences can feel the sound. The ‘duk’ means attaining and ‘eum’ means sound.

The WIND (2006) / is a projected cloth image that flutters by the wind sounds transmitted from Heaundae, the southeastern beach on the end of Korean Peninsula. The cloth image is programmed to recognize the volume of the sound as the strength of the wind. So when a wind blows in Heaundae, the cloth in the gallery flows simultaneously.
