    PEL manufactures the Video Sequence Processor (VSP) TM , a stand-alone “image processing system.” The VSP is based upon a 68000 microprocessor running the UNIX operating system. The VSP has a unique capability of recording and playng back up to 8 minutes of digital image sequences in real time. Software includes computer graphics and image processing functions which can be used either as libraries linked to user programs or interactively via the PEL menu system. PELCALC, a new, interactive image processing software package, is also available for the VSP. It permits the user to compute simple, calculator-like expressions within entire images as variables.
