CAPTION will present CUBI 7, a high-performing image synthesis system. Image generation uses a combination of different techniques including Z-buffer and ray-tracing. Used as a UNIX workstation or as a graphic terminal, the CUBI 7 hardware allows a parallel execution and a pipelined image generation.

CUBI 7 is a color graphics system for 3-D image synthesis with animation of modular and evolutionary design. Its target is low-cost production. Service facilities: CAD (mechanics, architecture), TV games, TV education, videotex. Simulation: medical, mechanical, military.
