SIGGRAPH 1988
Chromatics, Inc. displays real-time, high-performance CX2000 Le Mans™ and rugged Baja™ Colorgraphic Workstations. Features include 1,000,000 2-D vectors per second, VME bus and support for VMS and UNIX operating systems. New CX2000 enhancements include SUN 3E general purpose CPU, real-time frame grabber, communications interface processor, multiple heads and 3-D shading processor.
SIGGRAPH 1987
Introducing Chromatics next dimension in color graphics, they will demonstrate the Colorgraphic™ Display System capable of producing 1,000,000 fully transformed vectors per second and programmed through a standard GKS package. Popular features include 32-bit VME- bus, GKS windows and Ethernet. Also being displayed are the CX and CX II systems featuring the frame grabber and shading processor.
SIGGRAPH 1985
Chromatics features the CX 1280 and CX 1536 Colorgraphic Display Systems, and the CAECO VLSI Designer Ill Workstation. The CX systems fully support GKS, and provide drawing speeds up to 500,000 fully transformed vectors/sec. Resolution ranges from 1280 x 1024 (CX 1280) to 1536 x 1152 (CX 1536). The CX 19-inch 60Hz non-inter- laced monitor can display 16,000,000 colors. CAECO’s Designer Ill Workstation, combining Chromatics’ CX 1400 and Sun Microsystem’s Model 2/120, features schematic capture, layout and DRC.
SIGGRAPH 1984
Chromatics features key members of its OEM rackmount CX family of color graphic display systems that provide a range of resolutions and performance for a wide variety of CAD/CAM and mapping applications. Each family member fully supports the Graphica Kerne System (GKS) and all fit in identical packaging allowing the OEM customer or sophisticated end-user to choose price/performance and compatability desired. Leading the family is the Chromatics CX 1500 color graphic display system with a resolution of 1536 x 1152 at 60Hz non-interlaced.
