Abstract:

The “Tactile grass Landscape,” which simulates a natural landscape, is a new tactile display that features interactive reactions in visual, sound, and the tactile sensation of the screen itself. The innovative feature of this simulation is that it links the natural movement of grass and plants to both CG images and the sense of touch. This display presents new possibilities for universal simulation technologies that use the sense of touch, sight, and sound, as well as applications in interactive landscape design.
