Abstract:

The advancement of the computerization seems to have improved our daily life. However, on the other hand, the “digital dividing” problem (i.e. the difference between every-day users and those who are not used to computers) is expanding day by day. Lots of approaches have already been developed; such as sending e-mails or browsing the Web using speech recognition technology or a barrier-free user interface designs. However, it is difficult to make a generic barrier-free system without modification of old systems that already exist. In this paper, we suggest a solution with a new approach, preparing a simple robot that helps a computer operation in man-computer interface layers intermediately. Physical controlling current human-robotic interface is easier to undestand for general public, comparing to invisible electronic electronic signal controlling with custom modification.
