Abstract:
There is considerable research activity related to computer graphics within the Japanese academic community However, little is known about it outside of Japan because of the language barrier. This panel surveys the work of several leading Japanese researchers who briefly describe the history of computer graphics at their institutions, report on their current areas of research and discuss their views on the role of universities in the further development of computer graphics.
