Rob Pike is a member of the technical staff at AT&T Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, New Jersey. He joined Bell Labs in 1980, where his best-known work has been as co-director of the Blit bitmap graphics terminal. His interests include statistical mechanics, cosmology and interactive graphics hardware and software.
