    Motion Dynamics Animation Workshop

Course Organizer(s):

Presenter(s)/Author(s):

Abstract:

    Prerequisites
    Familiarity with the basic concepts and practice of 3D computer animation. Experience with motion dynamics or Maya software is not required.

    Topics
    The principles and practice of motion-dynamics simulations. Physical properties of objects, forces, collisions, rigid bodies and soft bodies, springs, and goal objects. Playback issues. Combining keyframed animation with motion-dynamics simulations.

    Description
    This hands-on workshop introduces animators to the principles and techniques of motion-dynamics animation. Participants use workstations running Maya to understand the principles and apply them to a short animation project. A team of experienced animation assistants provides assistance.
