A high-level overview of reverse engineering or creating CAD surfaces from scanned data. Topics include using software from 3D compression technologies and Raindrop Geomagic to illustrate converting-point cloud and polygonal data (PLY and STL files), using compression schemes for Web viewing, and converting them into B-spline patches. This brief tutorial does not allow enough time for details. Attendees should schedule some hands-on work in the Studio for further exploration.
