Description:

Alpha-shape software applied to a finite set of points in 3D spaces constructs a geometric object with detailed and possibly quite complicated features on the outside and inside. Several graphical interaction techniques, as well as the use of sound synthesis, enable users to explore the elements of the alpha shape with meaningful visual and auditory cues. Alpha shapes have application in geometric modeling, grid generation, protein structure analysis, and medical analysis.
